In the search for this welcoming family space, Piazza Roosevelt and Piazza Galilei must also serve as contemporary instances of valorization of history, not only of the surrounding area but also of the entire city.
Starting from the image of the typical portico bolognese, the trees with function not only of furnishing but of mitigation of the heat redesign those spaces typical of the bolognese tradition of transition between interior and exterior, as shelter from rain and summer heat. Throughout the area, the double rows are therefore the new green porches of this area highlighting the “GREEN FOOTPRINT” of the future of the city.
“Invisible fulcrum” of all the intervention is the parking lot of two floors underground in Piazza Roosevelt designed with a parcelling capacity of 140 cars and 90 seats for scooters.
